The vibrant online community, Dee Pride Land Group (DPLG), marked a significant milestone on Saturday, August 5, as members congregated poolside at Presken Hotel on Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way to joyfully commemorate their 1st Anniversary. Clad in elegant white attire, participants engaged in an array of captivating activities that encompassed Adult Games, Swimming, bottle flips, and even a lively Kissing Competition.

The DPLG is a diverse collective comprising Medical Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Journalists, Business Owners, Nurses, Actors, Musicians, and various other professions. During the event, attendees introduced themselves and shared their experiences, emphasizing the myriad benefits they’ve reaped from the group. Among the key advantages cited were information sharing, education, entertainment, stress relief, social support, freedom of expression, and fostering meaningful connections.

Founder Oluomo White, brimming with enthusiasm and gratitude, addressed the attendees and expressed his delight at their presence. Drawing parallels to the beloved Lion King tale, he noted that the group aimed to create a shared space for interaction, camaraderie, and mutual upliftment in the face of Nigeria’s challenges. “We have Yoruba, Igbo, and if possible Hausa—all tribes coming together as one under one umbrella, not PDP, but under one roof to have fun,” Oluomo White declared, emphasizing the unity the group fosters.

He encouraged members to seize the positivity the group offers, to connect, do business, find joy, and spread laughter, even in trying times. “Mingle and look for something that will put a smile on your face that helps you believe that Nigeria will be better tomorrow,” he urged.

The jubilant founder further reflected, “I am happy to see old and young, men and women having fun under the umbrella of De Pride Land Group.” Drawing inspiration from the Lion King narrative, he described how characters like Scar, Mufasa, Simba, Kiara, and Kovu symbolize unity and harmony within the group.

Highlighting the event was a lavish feast, a variety of refreshing beverages, the ceremonial cutting of the anniversary cake, a spirited photo session, and exuberant dancing. The occasion not only celebrated the passage of one year but also the bonds of friendship, mutual support, and positivity that have flourished within the Dee Pride Land Group.
