The expressions of goodwill were conveyed through separate letters dated August 27, underscoring the significance of the monarch’s leadership and achievements.

In a congratulatory message signed by Reverend Emmanuel Bulugbe and Chimezie Victor on behalf of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the remarkable historical milestone of Oba Oladega’s ascent to the Royal Throne of Agboyi Kingdom was highlighted. Despite the global challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the community embraced a King who embodies special divine qualities, echoing the scriptural reference, “Thy King Cometh… he is just, and riding upon an ass….” (Zechariah 9:9).

The letter commended the monarch’s exceptional leadership and recognized his possession of qualities akin to the 7-Ds and 14-Cs, affirming his dedication to the progress and greater achievement of Agboyi Kingdom. CAN hailed Oba Oladega’s role as a leader per-excellent, anticipating that his legacy would endure for the benefit of the community.

The First and Indigenous Church of Agboyi Land, St. Barnabas Anglican Church, also extended warm regards to Oba Oladega in a letter signed by Reverend Emmanuel Bulugbe, Miss Tosin Fagbemi, and church wardens. Describing the anniversary as a celebration of unprecedented achievement, the church highlighted the monarch’s instrumental role in elevating Agboyi to new heights of development.

In their tribute, the church expressed a deep belief that Oba Oladega was akin to an angel sent by God to lead Agboyi Kingdom, acknowledging his sacrifices and exemplary service as a leader of honor and dignity.

The letters concluded with prayers for God’s strength and protection for the monarch, fostering the continued growth and development of the Agboyi community.

Earlier on this day, Oba Oladega, accompanied by his Chiefs, attended a Thanksgiving Service at St. Barnabas Anglican Church. The service marked the culmination of a four-day series of events commemorating the 3rd Coronation Anniversary, which began on August 18.
