The Ikorodu Students Association (ISA) has issued a statement calling for swift justice following the untimely demise of the popular singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad. The singer’s death, which occurred last week under unclear circumstances, has led to nationwide protests and demands for answers.

In a press release titled “In Memoriam: Remembering the Late Mohbad (Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba) and Seeking Swift Justice For the Demise,” jointly issued by the ISA president and General Secretary, Toba-Dosumu L.A. and Ridwanullahi Arogundade, the group expressed their deep sorrow and commemorated the musical sensation.

The statement read, “His extraordinary talent, humility, passion, and dedication to his craft were evident to all who had the privilege of listening to his music, and his sudden departure has left a void that can never be filled.”

The ISA extended heartfelt condolences to Mohbad’s family, friends, and fans who have been profoundly impacted by his music and charisma. They acknowledged that his influence extended far beyond Ikorodu and that his legacy would endure in the hearts of many.

While recognizing the commitment of the Lagos State Government and the Police Force to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s passing, the ISA demanded proper justice for the late artist. They urged the authorities to ensure that anyone responsible for his untimely death is held accountable for their actions.

The statement also emphasized Ikorodu’s significance as a great place to reside, highlighting its affordability, heritage consciousness, and culture-friendliness. The ISA called on all individuals who might seek to degrade their town to be cautious.

Mohbad’s passing is not only a loss to his family, fans, and the music industry but also to Ikorodu as a whole. The ISA called on everyone to remember him for his exceptional talent and the light he brought into their lives through his music.
