Adejoke Kadejo, the representative of NOELLA FOUNDATION in Kosofe Local Government, expressed deep gratitude to Chairman Moyosore Ogunlewe and his dedicated team for their tireless efforts in organizing the distribution of 10kg rice bags to 2000 beneficiaries on November 28th and 29th, 2023, at the council secretariat.

Founded in 2018 by Layal Tinubu and Seyi Tinubu, NOELLA FOUNDATION carries a mission to transform the lives of vulnerable and marginalized individuals, spanning women, children/young adults, and the elderly in specific communities, providing lasting solutions to pressing challenges.

In an interview with Newsmen at the event, Adejoke Kadejo shared the essence of the initiative, stating, “The programme we are running in conjunction with Kosofe Local Government aims to help the community and reach out to as many people as we can. Today, we intend to distribute almost 2000 bags of rice, and so far, it has been good. I commend the council chairman for his efforts in ensuring that everything goes smoothly.”

She emphasized that the initiative is set to become an ongoing program, extending its reach to various local governments. NOELLA FOUNDATION has previously collaborated with organizations such as the sickle cell organization, providing bags of rice for distribution in their communities. A similar initiative was also carried out in Eti-Osa Constituency II a few weeks ago.

Adejoke Kadejo passionately asserted, “The aim is to help people and ensure that we eradicate hunger in our own little way.”

In response, Executive Chairman Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe expressed heartfelt thanks to NOELLA Foundation for this impactful initiative, especially during these challenging times in the country. “I want to thank NOELLA Foundation for this wonderful initiative. Everyone knows how the country is, and this really helps those within the community,” he remarked.

Highlighting the success of the Kosofe food bank initiative launched three months ago, Ogunlewe mentioned the monthly distributions of palliatives to people in their homes. He acknowledged the importance of support and commended NOELLA Foundation for bringing much-needed succor to the community, deeming it “a right step in the right direction.”
