Hon. Prince Rotimi Agunsoye, the immediate past member of the House of Representatives Kosofe Federal Constituency, joined the distinguished Senior Executive Course 45 (SEC 45) team from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru in presenting a crucial research report to President Tinubu in a landmark event at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja.
The report, titled “Industrialisation, Energy Security and Climate Change: Issues, Challenges and Prospects,” delved into the intricate relationship between industrialization, energy security, and climate change in Nigeria. The parley, which took place on Friday, provided a significant platform for direct engagement between the NIPSS team and President Tinubu on matters vital to the nation’s development.
Over a ten-month period, participants of SEC 45, including Hon. Prince Rotimi Agunsoye, underwent intensive study involving lectures, seminars, brainstorming sessions, and study tours to 13 countries and seven states in Nigeria. Agunsoye’s active participation underscored his commitment to driving positive change and sustainable development.
President Tinubu commended the team for their diligent research, assuring that the administration would carefully study the report and incorporate its recommendations into policies and programs. He acknowledged the importance of research and development, expressing renewed hope in the country’s potential to achieve sustainable development goals.
“I give you credit for a good job done. This report will be treated with all seriousness. You have fished out the issues. You have noted the challenges, and you have recommended very constructive solutions and showed the roadmap to achieve sustainable development goals for our country. Definitely, our hope is renewed,” remarked President Tinubu.
