The once-deplorable Ajakomo dump site in Ajelogo community, Agboyi Ketu LCDA, now stands transformed, thanks to the visionary leadership of Mayor Dele Oshinowo. The area, now known as Greenwich Estate, has been redeveloped in collaboration with Biufort Homes Ltd, marking a significant stride in affordable housing within the locality.
The flag-off ceremony at Greenwich Gardens drew guests from diverse backgrounds, commemorating another achievement under Mayor Dele Oshinowo’s administration.
During the momentous occasion, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu lauded Mayor Dele Oshinowo for the transformative project, emphasizing its impact in alleviating housing deficits in the area. He urged other council chairmen present to emulate Mayor Oshinowo’s commitment to housing development.
Mayor Dele Oshinowo acknowledged the crucial role played by the private sector in achieving this feat, citing the successful partnership that brought about the celebrated accomplishment.
Highlighting ongoing projects, Mayor Oshinowo mentioned Sterling Heights (106 units), Raymond Estates (64 housing units), a recreational center in Agboyi, and the We Lift ICT Hub.
Notable figures at the event, including APC Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi and former council chairman Yetunde Arobieke, praised Mayor Oshinowo’s leadership. Ojelabi urged continued efforts for the people of Agboyi Ketu LCDA and the APC.
The representative of Biufort Homes, Olalekan Aboderin, expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for commissioning the project, affirming the group’s commitment to building affordable homes across Lagos and beyond. The 110 housing units offer various configurations, including 2 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms, and semi-detached duplexes.
The pinnacle of the day was the official placard unveiling by Governor Sanwo-Olu and other dignitaries. The Governor toured the site, inspecting the commendable work carried out by Biufort Homes Ltd.
