The family of the late Honorable Samsondeen Ali, whose tragic demise shocked the community two months ago, has announced the burial arrangements for the former councillorship aspirant of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward B.
In a statement released on Sunday, the family extended an invitation to friends, party members, and well-wishers to join them for a Candle Night on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 6 pm. The solemn event will take place at 11b Aralamo Street, Iyana Oworo, in the Kosofe area, commemorating the life of the departed.
The Burial Ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, February 1, at 10 am prompt, marking the final journey of Hon. Samsideen Ali. Additionally, an 8-day Fidau prayer will be held on Thursday, February 8, at the same venue.
Kosofe Post had previously reported the tragic incident that claimed Hon. Ali’s life. Approximately two months ago, he was brutally attacked by assailants identified as Omo Oniles, who claimed to be landowners. The confrontation occurred at Hon. Ali’s residence on Aralamo Street, with the motive behind the attack stemming from a dispute over land ownership.
Hon. Ali, who was in the process of enhancing security by erecting a fence, faced demands from the attackers to pay N5,000 before proceeding with the construction. The Lagos State Police Command responded swiftly, launching a manhunt that resulted in the arrest of the suspected killers of the politician.
