In what seems to be a brewing political standoff, prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and members, including members of the Governor’s Advisory Council, notably Otunba Bushira Alebiosu, Omoba Ademuyiwa Sosanya, and Honourable Commissioner for Waterfront and Infrastructure Development, Hon. Yacoob Ekundayo Alebiosu, conspicuously skipped Rep Kafilat Ogbara’s maiden Town Hall Meeting.

The absence of these key figures raised eyebrows, with speculation rife that it could be perceived as payback for federal lawmakers snubbing party leaders. Notably missing were Ikosi Isheri LCDA Chairman, Samiat Bada, Agboyi Ketu LCDA Chairman Mayor Dele Oshinowo, and Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Moyosore Ogunlewe.

Interestingly, these stakeholders were all present at the Kosofe APC Strategic Stakeholders meeting held just days earlier at the same venue, CMD, Magodo, Kosofe.

However, the Town Hall Meeting was not devoid of notable attendees. Honourable Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotosho, and APC state chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, graced the occasion, along with other distinguished party members.

During the meeting, Rep Kafilat Ogbara provided an account of her stewardship, highlighting motions and bills she supported and sponsored, as well as oversight functions carried out. She also shed light on zonal intervention programs and initiatives aimed at addressing community needs.

In a symbolic gesture, Rep Kafilat Ogbara made cash presentations to selected beneficiaries to support their businesses, underscoring her commitment to grassroots empowerment and development.
