As the Executive Chairman of Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area nears the end of their second term in office, contestants vying for positions in the upcoming 2025 Local Government Chairmanship and Councilorship elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform have been urged to follow the example set by notable figures in the community.
Hon. Mutiu Kalejaiye, Supervisor for Youth in Agboyi Ketu, and former APC Assistant State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Abiodun Salami, have both embarked on consultation initiatives to garner support for their aspirations.
Kalejaiye, who recently announced his ambition to journalists, emphasized the importance of engaging with stakeholders and members of the Governor Advisory Council in Kosofe, including Hon. Abiodun Salami, who is also eyeing the seat.
In urging other potential candidates to follow suit, Kalejaiye emphasized the need for contestants to showcase their track records and articulate their vision for improved governance in Agboyi Ketu. He stressed the importance of focusing on the value they plan to bring to the community rather than relying solely on entitlement mentality or engaging in divisive tactics.
Abiodun Salami and Mutiu Kalejaiye, along with other potential candidates who have initiated consultation efforts, are expected to vie for Agboyi Ketu council seats with the aim of providing enhanced governance and addressing the needs of the community.
