A recent gathering hosted by the First Lady of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has sparked a heated debate between Ikosi Isheri LCDA Chairman Samiat Bada and Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, the representative of Kosofe Federal Constituency, as supporters clash over the purpose and significance of political engagements.

Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, in attendance at the breakfast with the First Lady, found herself embroiled in controversy as pictures of the event flooded WhatsApp platforms, drawing both praise and criticism from supporters.

Supporters of Ogbara hailed her participation, with one, Ekundayo, lauding her as a symbol of class for engaging with influential figures. “This is what I call class, meeting with people that matters,” the supporter remarked.

Another supporter praised Ogbara’s ability to connect with influential individuals, stating, “This is a woman who connects for prosperity. We all have something to learn from how she has been able to navigate her stand in the midst of the high and mighty.”

However, Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area Chairman Samiat Bada’s supporters took a different stance, criticizing the celebration of Ogbara’s meetings as a distraction from her elected duties. One supporter, Tetebaba20, labeled it a “big shame” and questioned Ogbara’s focus, suggesting she had forgotten her purpose as a lawmaker. Bada’s supporter further alleged that Ogbara’s representation was primarily based on photo opportunities, describing it as “audio representation” in Kosofe.
