The Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has initiated an engagement talk with residents of Aliu Street and its environs. The discourse comes on the heels of the administration’s green light for the commencement of construction works on Aliu Street, Kosofe.
Addressing attendees at the brief ceremony, Mayor Dele Oshinowo underscored the significance of the road project, emphasizing its transformative impact on the community. He revealed that the project would entail the construction of a road using interlocking paving stones, coupled with the installation of drainage structures.
Highlighting the strategic importance of Aliu Street as a crucial thoroughfare linking various parts of the locality, Mayor Dele Oshinowo expressed optimism that the project would alleviate traffic congestion and enhance connectivity to Adedoyin Street and Mile 12 without the need to traverse Ikorodu Road.
During the interactive session, Mayor Dele Oshinowo called upon residents to actively monitor the progress of the project to ensure adherence to the stipulated timeline. He also urged community leaders to collaborate in enforcing parking regulations to prevent indiscriminate parking along the street, warning of the impoundment of vehicles that fail to comply within the specified period.
