Tensions flared in Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) as Executive Chairman, Princess Samiat Bada, and her aides raised objections to the April ranking released by Lagos Reporters, branding it a “scam.”

In a bold move, Samiat Bada took to her Instagram handle to denounce the ranking, citing discrepancies in the assessment process. The previous ranking had placed Agboyi Ketu LCDA Chairman as the top performer, while Ikosi Isheri LCDA languished in the 46th position, sparking outrage among cabinet members, councilors, and senior aides.

The dissatisfaction prompted Ikosi Isheri LCDA to commission its own ranking through an obscure organization known as Lagos Alausa Authentic Report, which conveniently positioned Princess Samiat Bada as the best-performing Chairman.

Despite a slight improvement in the April ranking, with Ikosi Isheri LCDA moving up to the 36th position, the Chairman’s aides remained unconvinced and demanded transparency regarding the criteria used in the assessment.

Hon. Fatoki, Senior Special Assistant on Environment to Ikosi Isheri LCDA, voiced skepticism, remarking, “It’s really looking like a scam this time around. I will appreciate a ranking that spans through quarterly appraisal, not weekly.”

Political observers urged patience from Ikosi Isheri LCDA, advising them to await their ranking from the Alausa Report. Meanwhile, Mayor Dele Oshinowo maintained his position in the top two, while Kosofe Local Government Chairman retained a spot in the top 10 for the second consecutive edition out of the 57 Local Councils.

Amidst the controversy, Lagos Reporters defended its ranking process, emphasizing the meticulous data collection and community feedback integral to the assessment.
