Hon. Femi Saheed, the lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, revealed that funds are now available for the completion of crucial road projects in the area.
The announcement, conveyed through a message to Kosofe Post on Sunday, followed appeals from concerned residents, particularly Ayo Idowu, regarding the unfinished Ketu Alapere road project which has been lingering for over four years.
Acknowledging the plight of his constituents, Hon. Femi Saheed assured that his committee’s meeting with the Honourable Commissioner confirmed the availability of funds for the completion of these projects.
Residents, particularly those residing along the incomplete stretch of road from Ketu to Osogun, expressed their concerns over the deteriorating conditions of the infrastructure. The presence of potholes, uneven surfaces, and inadequate drainage poses significant hazards to motorists, pedestrians, and businesses, especially with the impending rainy season.
Ayo Idowu, representing concerned residents, emphasized the urgent need for the state government to prioritize the completion of the second phase of the Ketu Alapere road project. Highlighting the pressing needs of the community, he urged swift intervention before the onset of adverse weather conditions exacerbates the existing challenges.
In response to these appeals, Hon. Femi Saheed urged all stakeholders to collaborate towards the prompt resolution of the Ketu Alapere road debacle.
