In a recent development, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, and members of the executive council have been confronted with claims made by an online media platform alleging the construction of substandard drainage at Ifako within the local government area.

Comrade Olúwọlé Òbísànyà-Lábíà, Acting Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, vehemently refuted these allegations. He dismissed them as either a result of impatience, given that the drainage project is still underway, or as a deliberate attempt to smear the reputation of the current administration for political motives.

“We emphasize the council’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality and sustainable infrastructure projects across all wards of Kosofe Local Government,” stated Òbísànyà-Lábíà. “Under the current administration, 30 roads and 17 drainages have been completed, none of which can be labeled as substandard.”

Residents have been urged to personally inspect other completed road projects across Kosofe to witness the exceptional standards of the drainages and roads constructed, with streets in Ogudu serving as prime examples of the administration’s dedication to quality infrastructure development.

Highlighting the projects executed under the leadership of Ogunlewe, it was reiterated that the council is dedicated to delivering high-quality and sustainable projects that benefit the residents of Kosofe Local Government. Residents are advised to remain calm and contact the necessary officers of the local government if they have any doubts or need clarification regarding the council’s activities.

This denial from the council comes in response to the viral report published by renowned online media outlet, Kosofeinsideout (mykosofe), which has sparked sharp criticism from residents of Ifako over the alleged poorly executed drainage project.
