As the 2025 Local Government elections approach, tensions are escalating in Kosofe. Recently, an unidentified group vandalized banners and posters of Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe. This incident occurred shortly after Ogunlewe celebrated his three-year anniversary in office.

Ogunlewe, who is set to complete his first term in July 2025, has not yet officially declared his intention to run for re-election. Nevertheless, his supporters have started a subtle campaign, suggesting a strong endorsement of his potential candidacy.

The recent destruction of his campaign materials in the Oworonshoki and Ogudu areas has raised concerns among political observers. While some view this act as a sign of significant rejection, others see it as an indication of the growing political rivalry in the region.
