Kosofe Journalists Mourn Alhaji S.O Lawal, A Pillar of Ketu Community

The Kosofe League of Journalists has extended their heartfelt condolences to Mr. Olalekan Lawal, publisher of Kosofe Inside-Out, following the death of his father, Alhaji S.O Lawal. Alhaji Lawal, who passed away at the age of 90 on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, was a revered figure in the Ketu Kosofe community, holding the title of Alakoso Adinni.

In a condolence statement released by Kosofe Post and signed by the President of the Kosofe League of Journalists, Abayomi Bilesanmi, the league expressed deep sorrow over the loss. “We are deeply shocked and saddened by the news of the sudden death of Alhaji S.O Lawal. His passing has left many of us heartbroken and devastated,” Bilesanmi said.

He further highlighted Alhaji Lawal’s significant contributions to the Kosofe community, noting that his dedication to humanity and empowerment initiatives left an indelible mark. “His legacy is one we will strive to uphold,” Bilesanmi added, praying for Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal peace and give the family the strength to bear the loss.

Speaking with our correspondent, Mr. Olalekan Lawal confirmed that his father would be laid to rest according to Islamic rites at their Kosofe residence on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
