The mainstream media lied about Trump. People bought into it at the beginning, but not anymore. I wonder why some of my fellow countrymen feel the need to criticize Americans’ choice of leadership. The American people have spoken in large numbers, and it was loud, fast, and clear.

Why do we think taking advantage of or benefiting from a system that is not working is a blessing?

So many Nigerians question my support for President Donald J. Trump, assuming that I’m against my fellow Nigerians who might want to relocate or travel to the United States, where they might encounter challenges and, in some cases, be deported. This assumption and belief further highlight why Nigeria is in such a terrible situation: we have so many “educated illiterates” who are too lazy to search for facts, instead consuming whatever the media throws at them.

For the record, everything President Donald J. Trump promised to do is something that has been done before by previous American presidents. For example, President Obama deported the highest number of people from the United States during his presidency—this is well-documented. You can verify this through research. Analysts still believe that President G. Bush should not have taken America to war when he did, and Bill Clinton rebuilt the economy he inherited from Bush H.W Sr.’s presidency. So, what’s the big deal about Donald Trump’s campaign promises? To the point that they called him Hitler, a dictator, a narcissist, a sexist, and a racist? His campaign rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City was even compared to the February 20, 1939 Nazi rally.

The problem is that when the “machine” and the “cabal” don’t like you, they throw everything they can to make you look bad, and the mainstream media are the messengers. People just consume what they hear on international media, which is controlled by these powerful forces.

Donald Trump loves his country, puts it first, and has no apologies for it. How I wish Nigeria could have a leader like him—someone ready to call the bluff of the IMF, the cabal, and all these external organizations whose policies have not helped the indigenous people of Nigeria.

What Donald Trump is saying is simple: if you want to come to the U.S., come through the right way. If you come illegally, we will send you back to your country. That’s just common sense.

He’s also saying: do business and build your factory in America. If you don’t, we will put heavy taxes and tariffs on all imported goods. To me, that makes sense economically.

So, what’s wrong with what he’s saying?

In his first term in office, the United States experienced prosperity. He didn’t prosecute his political enemies. His Justice Department never persecuted anyone. Instead, he was impeached twice over what seemed like a Russian hoax, based on evidence from anonymous sources.

Americans have spoken loudly, clearly, and swiftly. We’ve witnessed the biggest political comeback in American history.

God bless America.
One nation, united under God.
