In response to the growing calls for assistance, the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mayor Dele Oshinowo, donated ₦500,000 to the victim’s family to aid efforts towards his safe return.
While KosofePost stated that it no longer solicits aid due to past experiences, the platform was deeply moved when Comrade Amos Ojajuni, the victim’s younger brother and an active commentator on the platform, reached out with distressing images and videos of the incident. Alongside these, a press statement from Afenifere Youths underscored the urgency of the situation.
Moved by the plea, KosofePost not only published the heartbreaking story but also directly contacted key individuals, including Mayor Oshinowo, who promptly contributed to the victim’s family account.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the Ojajuni family, Comrade Amos acknowledged the donation and offered prayers for Mayor Oshinowo. Similarly, Bilesanmi Abayomi commended the council chairman for prioritizing human life and standing in solidarity with the affected family.
