The immediate past Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Revenues, Olalekan Akala, has expressed support for the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over its ongoing investigation into the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government.

Reacting to reports of an ICPC invitation extended to the council chairman and members of his cabinet, Akala commended the anti-corruption agency’s efforts while emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in the process.

“I commend the ICPC’s initiative to interrogate the Kosofe Local Government Chairman. However, I would like to emphasize that transparency and accountability are crucial throughout this process. As the saying goes, ‘He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.’ I urge all stakeholders to ensure that their hands are clean and their intentions are pure so that we can work together towards a corruption-free society,” Akala stated on Tuesday.
