Agboyi-Ketu LCDA Chairmanship Race Heats Up as Oshinowo, Cabinet Members Pick APC Nomination Forms

The political atmosphere in Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) is gathering momentum as Mayor Dele Oshinowo and several key cabinet members have officially obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms ahead of the forthcoming chairmanship election.

Among those who picked up the forms alongside Mayor Oshinowo are the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Fatai Ganiu; Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Adetola Oyedele-Abubakar; Special Adviser on Youth, Mutiu Kaleijaye; and Majority Leader of the Legislative Council, Councilor Saheed Omogbolahan Elewedu.

Also in the race are notable figures including former Secretary to the Local Government, Shakiru Balogun Gbenga Osobu; Babatunde Muyideen Durosimi; Dare Lawson; Kayode Oguntunde; Olasupo Olowe; Ibrahim Oladega; Dare Lawson; and Abiodun Salami.

According to sources from KosofePost, several other aspirants are yet to obtain their nomination forms, even as the deadline approaches. Political watchers suggest that some of the undecided aspirants may eventually align with already-declared contenders to strengthen their chances within the party.

The APC chairmanship primary is expected to be a defining moment in determining the future leadership and development trajectory of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, a key council area in Lagos State known for its strategic importance and diverse population.
