APC Clears Hon. Shakiru Balogun for Agboyi-Ketu LCDA Chairmanship Primaries

Hon. Shakiru Adekunle Balogun, popularly known as BASH2025, has been officially cleared by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest in the upcoming chairmanship primaries for Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), scheduled to hold on May 10, 2025.

Balogun is among 13 aspirants approved by the party to vie for the APC ticket in what is expected to be a keenly contested indirect primary election.

His clearance was confirmed on Saturday by his media aide, Odunola Agoro, who described the development as a major milestone in the campaign’s push for grassroots development and transformational leadership.

“We are excited to announce that Hon. Shakiru Adekunle Balogun (BASH2025) has been officially cleared by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to participate in the forthcoming Agboyi-Ketu LCDA Chairmanship Primaries,” Agoro said. “This is a major step forward in our journey toward progressive leadership, grassroots development, and a brighter future for all residents of Agboyi-Ketu.”

Addressing party delegates, Agoro appealed for their support, describing Balogun as a beacon of hope and a candidate committed to effective leadership.

“Remember, Hon. Shakiru Adekunle Balogun (BASH2025) is the light we have been waiting for. Support the movement — Bash de irorun de! Bash: leadership that works!” she added.

The APC primaries in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA will determine the party’s standard-bearer ahead of the local government elections slated for July 12, 2025.
