Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for Kosofe Local Government, securing a landslide victory in the party’s primary election by clinching all 25 delegate votes.
Ogunlewe’s emergence, announced at the party secretariat in Lagos, was met with widespread commendation, with observers describing the outcome as a strong endorsement of his leadership and agenda for the local government.
In a statement following his victory, Ogunlewe expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Otunba Bushura Alebiosu, Ọmọọba Olumuyiwa Șosanya, and other prominent party leaders for their support and mentorship.
He also appreciated the Kosofe APC executive and the wider party faithful for entrusting him with the mandate to lead.
“The votes cast by the delegates reflect broad satisfaction with our transformative agenda,” Ogunlewe said, pledging to intensify efforts to deliver inclusive development and responsive governance to the people of Kosofe.
His emergence as the APC candidate positions him as a frontrunner in the upcoming local government elections scheduled for later this year.
