APC Compaign Committee Inaugurates Ahead of July 12 Local Government Elections in Ikosi-Isheri

As preparations intensify for the July 12 local government elections in Lagos State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area held a strategic stakeholders’ meeting on Tuesday to rally grassroots support for its candidates.

The event, which took place at the Ikosi-Isheri Council Secretariat, witnessed a large turnout of party faithful, community leaders, and candidates.

Among the notable figures present were the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Alhaji Ali Olatunbosun; APC Youth Leader, Hon. Dr. Seriki Muritala; former Council Secretary, Hon. Afolabi Kazeem; Vice Chairman, Alhaji Shakiru Balogun; NDA Chairman, Alhaji Akeem Oshi; and Chairman of Shura Yam Market, Alhaji Dandama Sheu, among others.

Addressing the gathering, Alhaji Olatunbosun underscored the importance of active civic participation. He urged residents to come out en masse on election day to vote for APC candidates, describing the polls as a pivotal moment for the future of the local council. He also offered prayers for the success of all candidates.

Speaking in a similar vein, the APC Youth Leader, Hon. Dr. Seriki Muritala, expressed gratitude for the continued support from the community and party stakeholders. He emphasised the need for unity and urged youths to take ownership of the electoral process by turning out to vote on July 12.

In an interview with journalists, Hon. Afolabi Kazeem, a prominent figure in the mobilisation committee, assured that the APC was fully prepared to deliver overwhelming votes for its candidates. He noted that the party’s structure had been activated at all levels to ensure a successful outing at the polls.

Also speaking, Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Ikosi-Isheri Constituency II, Hon. Femi Saheed, appealed to residents to remain steadfast in their support for the ruling party. He urged them to vote for candidates who have shown capacity and commitment to community development.

“As we head into the elections, it is crucial that we rally behind the APC for continued progress and development. Our candidates have proven records, and we must ensure their victory to sustain the growth we have witnessed,” he said.

With campaign activities gaining momentum, the APC leadership reiterated its resolve to secure a landslide victory, promising to build on past achievements and usher in greater prosperity for the people of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.
