The Executive Chairman of Mile 12 International Market, Alhaji Shehu Usman, popularly known as ‘Sampam’, has congratulated Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on his 60th birthday, praising his leadership and dedication to grassroots development.
In a statement issued on behalf of traders and market stakeholders, Alhaji Usman commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for repositioning Mile 12 Market as a hub of commercial excellence through infrastructure upgrades, improved security, and modernised market systems.
“Under Your Excellency’s leadership, Mile 12 has witnessed major improvements — from rehabilitated access roads to waste management reforms and the introduction of digital tax platforms. These developments have enhanced business operations and livelihoods for thousands,” he said.
He also highlighted the governor’s inclusive governance style, citing his appointment to the Lagos State Markets Advisory Council as evidence of deliberate grassroots engagement.
“At 60, Governor Sanwo-Olu exemplifies visionary leadership with a people-first approach. His strides in youth empowerment, vocational training, and support for women-led cooperatives are impacting lives across the state,” Alhaji Usman noted.
He concluded with prayers for continued strength and wisdom for the governor, affirming the market’s appreciation for his contributions to Lagos State.
