The Ta’awum Political Forum (TPF) has reiterated its dedication to community empowerment and grassroots development during its recent stakeholders’ event held in Ojota, Lagos.
Led by its President, Taiwo Lasisi Yussuf, the forum used the occasion to showcase its ongoing efforts in addressing the socio-political and economic needs of Lagos residents. The event brought together members, community leaders, and political stakeholders to assess the forum’s impact and chart the way forward.
Speaking at the gathering, Yussuf highlighted the four cardinal pillars guiding TPF’s activities: public sensitisation on socio-political and economic trends, direct humanitarian interventions, capacity building, and preparing individuals for leadership and political participation.
“Our goal is to serve the people. Through our cooperative society, members can access soft loans. We also offer leadership training, youth skills development, and free medical outreach across various local government areas in Lagos,” Yussuf said.
The event also featured remarks by Hon. Baruwa Sulaimon, councillor representing Ward Ojota, who commended TPF for improving the living standards of residents. He noted that the group’s initiatives had positively impacted communities within Ojota and beyond.
Baruwa encouraged new members to remain committed to the forum’s ideals, urging residents of Kosofe Local Government Area to throw their full support behind all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in upcoming elections.
The stakeholders’ meeting reaffirmed the Ta’awum Political Forum’s role as a grassroots movement fostering social development, economic empowerment, and political participation across Lagos State.
