Hon. Ibrahim Balogun, former Lagos State House of Assembly candidate and Kosofe Chapter Leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, has congratulated Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada on her re-election as Chairperson of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Bada, popularly known as “Mayoress,” emerged victorious in the just-concluded council polls, a win Balogun described as a testament to her “impactful leadership and excellent performance” during her first term.
“Please come to Ikosi-Isheri LCDA and see the remarkable transformation,” Balogun said in a statement. “From a newly constructed, fully equipped modern health centre to a mini stadium for athletes, a modern market, and a state-of-the-art council secretariat—these are just a few of the achievements under the Mayoress’ leadership.”
He attributed the high voter turnout in her favour—reportedly 64,500 votes, the highest in the state—to her visible track record and deep grassroots engagement.
Balogun further predicted that Bada’s developmental strides at the local level could translate into greater political dividends at the national level. “I believe that in the 2027 presidential election, the Mayoress will use her achievements to deliver nothing less than 200,000 votes for President Tinubu,” he said.
He urged all political aspirants and stakeholders in Ikosi-Isheri to rally behind the re-elected Chairperson for the progress of the LCDA. “I urge everyone to sheath their swords and accept that Mayoress’ emergence for a second term was divinely ordained. Let us all work together with her to move Ikosi-Isheri LCDA forward,” he appealed.
