As Mayor Dele Oshinowo prepares to round off his second and final term as Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), tributes have continued to pour in from residents, community leaders, and youth stakeholders who described his leadership as transformational and his legacy as enduring.

Mayor Oshinowo, whose eight-year tenure officially ends on July 25, has been widely hailed for redefining grassroots governance in Agboyi-Ketu, delivering on key developmental promises while promoting inclusive and people-centered leadership.

“There won’t be another Mayor like Dele Oshinowo in Agboyi-Ketu. I duff my cap for him,”
— Comrade Etim Michael Don

This sentiment captures the prevailing mood across the LCDA, as many reflect on Oshinowo’s impact.

Omoba Awofeso Rasheed Ololade praised the Mayor’s tenure as a benchmark for democratic leadership:

“He demonstrated true leadership as a democrat throughout his eight years. Democracy is about human and infrastructural development—anything aside is rascality.”

Comrade Amos Ojajuni echoed this view, highlighting the tangible improvements under Oshinowo’s administration:

“His leadership has left a lasting legacy in the community. We appreciate his dedication to the growth and development of Agboyi-Ketu.”

Youth leaders also weighed in, underscoring the Mayor’s achievements in infrastructure and empowerment.

“In infrastructure, I give it to him 100%. In empowerment, 100%. He performed better than some state governors in the southwest and east. I wish him well in his future political endeavors,” said Ebenezer A. Olatunji, Director of the Directorate for Special People, NYCN Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.

For Ibrahim Adisa Mustapha, the Mayor’s example is a reminder that legacies matter:

“As Mayor Dele wraps up his tenure, those starting their terms must remember—the end will come. What people say about you afterward should guide your leadership.”

Oloye Salami Oluwaseun offered a personal and profound tribute:

“Mayor Oshinowo is a man of humility, depth, and uncommon integrity—a 24th-century classic leader. His name will be spoken for years to come, with gratitude and pride. He’s a blessing to my generation, and I pray God lifts him even higher.”

With Hon. Adetola Abubakar Oyedele set to take over the reins, expectations are high.

“Mayor Dele has raised the bar in local government administration, and I am confident the new chairman will live up to the people’s expectations,” Mustapha added.

As Mayor Oshinowo prepares to leave office, one thing is clear: his era has left an indelible mark on Agboyi-Ketu LCDA. His leadership will be remembered not just for the roads built or the projects completed, but for the values he championed—integrity, humility, and service to the people.
