The air was filled with pride and celebration as Remo Stars Football Club, newly crowned champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), hosted a Champion’s Gala to honour their historic achievement.
The event brought together players, coaches, club officials, and members of the Remo community—testament to the team’s unwavering determination and unity in their pursuit of glory.
In his remarks, Remo Stars Board Chairman Kunle Soname expressed deep gratitude to the players:
“These players have won this tournament with their sweat, despite coming from different tribes. The team prioritized unity, and God used them to bring glory to our community. All adoration must be given to God.”
Club CEO Adedoyin Ogungbefun echoed that sentiment:
“I’m excited about the achievement we recorded last season. Our persistence and hard work paved the way for us to clinch the trophy.”
Head Coach Daniel, instrumental in leading the team to victory, also reflected on the journey:
“I’m impressed with the performance of my team. Our perseverance, discipline, and years of hard work brought us here. I am truly fulfilled to have achieved this success alongside my team.”
The Champion’s Gala stood as a powerful celebration of unity, resilience, and unwavering community support. Remo Stars’ triumph has not only brought pride to the Remo community but also inspired a new generation of footballers across the country.
