A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Rahman Owokoniran, has described the party’s National Secretary, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, as the “Mayor of South West Politics.”
Owokoniran made the remark in a social media post while commending the former Minister of Interior ahead of the official unveiling of the ADC Alimosho chapter.
The unveiling, scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., will attract prominent political figures including former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, Lagos State governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, Lagos ADC chairman George Ashiru, and Aregbesola.
Organisers said the event, themed “Your Presence Inspires a New Dawn in Alimosho Politics,” is expected to mark a significant step in consolidating the party’s grassroots presence in Lagos State.
