Publisher and political analyst, Engr. Olusola Emmanuel Adedayo (MIAENG), has cautioned that the All Progressives Congress (APC) may lose the support of Oworonshoki residents in the 2027 general elections following the recent demolition exercise in the community.
Adedayo, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of MoschinoBlog, issued the warning in a statement on Saturday. He said the demolition had displaced several families, fueling resentment and a possible backlash against the ruling party.
“Our great party, APC, should forget any vote from Oworonshoki. My people have been displaced and I stand by them. Anyone coming into Oworonshoki for political exercise shall be outrightly rejected,” he declared.
He added that the level of anger in the community should not be underestimated, noting that residents feel abandoned and betrayed by the government’s actions.
The warning reflects rising discontent in parts of Lagos where demolitions have been carried out. Affected communities have repeatedly accused the government of insensitivity and poor handling of the exercise, raising concerns about political consequences ahead of the next polls.
