A TikTok user, Kazeem Adekojo, has sparked online debate following his comment on the recent demolition exercise in Oworonshoki, Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Reacting to a video clip posted on KosofePost_TV’s TikTok handle, Adekojo suggested that despite the trauma and displacement caused by the demolition, many affected residents would still cast their votes for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

According to him, politicians often bank on voters’ short memories, alleging that token gestures such as distributing food items during campaigns could easily sway displaced persons back to the polls.
The demolition, which has forced several families out of their homes, continues to generate heated reactions both online and within the Oworonshoki community, with many questioning the timing, necessity, and humanitarian response to the exercise.
