Ta’awun Humanitarian Forum Honours KosofePost Publisher with Excellence Award

The Ta’awun Humanitarian Forum (THF) has honoured the Publisher of Kosofe Post, Mr. Abayomi Bilesanmi, popularly known as Koko, with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his dedication to community service and humanitarian support.

The award was presented during a stakeholders’ event held on Wednesday in Ojota, Lagos, with Mrs. Adeola Bakr receiving the plaque on behalf of the media outlet.

Speaking at the ceremony, the President of the Forum, Taiwo Lasisi Yussuf, described Kosofe Post as one of the organisation’s key stakeholders. He commended the medium for consistently collaborating with communities in Kosofe and beyond to improve the welfare of residents.

In his acceptance remarks, Bilesanmi expressed profound gratitude to THF, describing the award as proof that “while we spotlight others, others are also spotlighting us — for our commitment to humanity, values, and impact beyond the core of digital journalism.”

He dedicated the honour to the management team and readers of Kosofe Post worldwide, pledging continued service to the people.

Bilesanmi also announced a ₦50,000 donation in support of THF’s programmes and offered one month of free press releases, statements, and greetings publications to further amplify the Forum’s humanitarian initiatives.

He praised THF for empowering vulnerable groups through meaningful skill acquisition and humanitarian projects, noting that its humility and impact “remain truly inspiring.”
