Canada-based Nigeria journalist and publisher of Agenda Newspaper, Austine Ejeke, has expressed deep gratitude to God as he celebrates his 60th birthday.
Ejeke, on Thursday, October 16, took to his Facebook page to share a reflective post accompanied by his photograph, offering praises and adoration to the Almighty for sparing his life and granting him the grace to attain the milestone age.
In an emotional recollection, the media entrepreneur narrated how he narrowly survived a childhood poisoning incident during a visit to his village in Enugu — a tragedy that claimed the life of his playmate. He described his survival as a divine testimony of God’s mercy and kindness.
“I come to the Almighty God this day with praises and adoration for keeping me alive in the land of the living to ascend to the sixth ladder of my life as I celebrate Jubilee — 60 years on surface earth in this Tinubu’s regime that Buhari could not even survive! … The poor boy died of the poisoning but I survived it, and I’m today alive to celebrate 60 years of God’s mercy and kindness to me,” Ejeke wrote.
Joining in the celebration, KosofePost Publisher, Abayomi Bilesanmi, popularly known as Koko, as well as friends and family, congratulated Ejeke for his remarkable journey and his enduring contributions to journalism.
“Happy birthday, Augu Bekee,” Bilesanmi wrote in his tribute, echoing the fond words of Ejeke’s late father and mentor, Pastor Matthew Enwereko Ejeke.
