The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ojota chapter, Pastor Moses Olatoye Orimoloye, has commended the Lagos State Government for the newly installed streetlights along the Ojota–Ketu axis of the Ikorodu Expressway.

In a video sent to KosofePost and recorded on the night of November 25, Orimoloye described the illuminated corridor as “too beautiful,” noting that the enhanced lighting would significantly improve security within the area. He also observed that some of the streetlights are equipped with CCTV cameras, but urged authorities to ensure they are deployed for comprehensive security monitoring and not limited to vehicle plate detection.

“Don’t let our CCTV be the one just capturing number plates,” he cautioned. “Most of our security should not only be about targeting expired plate numbers.”

While applauding Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Ministry of Environment for the development, Orimoloye appealed for the streetlight project to be extended further toward Mile 12, including the underbridge and adjoining sections of the expressway.

“A little water makes a mighty ocean,” he said, calling for continuity.
