Hon. Kafilat Adetola Ogbara, Member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency and Chairperson of the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, has reportedly paid a private visit to a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Kosofe, Otunba Bushira Alebiosu.

The visit, said to have taken place in late December 2025, was conducted discreetly, without the usual publicity that often accompanies engagements involving high-ranking political figures. There were no official statements or photo releases after the meeting, a development that has stirred speculation within political circles across the constituency.

Sources within the APC suggest that the apparent closeness between the lawmaker and the party leader may not be coincidental, especially as the party prepares for its ward, Local Government Area (LGA) executives and statutory delegates’ congresses scheduled for February 2026. Observers believe the interaction could be part of broader strategic moves aimed at shaping internal party dynamics in Kosofe Federal Constituency, either through consensus-building or influence over forthcoming electoral processes ahead of the party primaries.

While Hon. Ogbara is widely believed to be seeking a return to the House of Representatives, party insiders note that other potential APC aspirants have also commenced quiet consultations across the constituency. These engagements, they say, are consistent with the constitutional rights of party members to seek elective office and test their political strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.

As internal party activities continue to intensify, stakeholders and residents of Kosofe are closely monitoring developments, with expectations of a keenly contested APC race as political alignments and ambitions gradually take shape on the road to 2027.
