From Local Impact to National Aspirations: MDO Releases Documentary Showcasing Governance Record

As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, House of Representatives aspirant Dele Oshinowo has released a documentary highlighting his two-term administration as Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area.

The documentary, unveiled on Tuesday, presents what his campaign described as a “scorecard of excellence,” focusing on projects and initiatives executed during his eight years in office.

According to the statement accompanying the release, Oshinowo’s administration prioritised grassroots development through infrastructure projects, education initiatives, healthcare interventions, and empowerment programmes.

The campaign noted that several roads, housing projects, ICT-driven initiatives, and social welfare programmes implemented under his leadership reflected a government focused on practical results rather than “political grammar.”

“For eight years, the people of Agboyi-Ketu experienced a government that worked tirelessly,” the statement read. “The records are everywhere—in the roads, the housing projects, and the opportunities created for thousands of residents.”

The documentary forms part of Oshinowo’s strategy to strengthen his bid for the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, with his supporters presenting his local government record as evidence of leadership capacity.

His campaign further argued that his aspiration represents continuity of “tested leadership and visible performance,” describing his candidacy as a transition from local governance to broader representation at the federal level.

“This is not a gamble. This is not trial and error. This is a continuation of tested leadership and visible performance,” the statement added.

With the campaign slogan, “Stronger Representation; Stronger Kosofe,” Oshinowo is urging residents to assess candidates based on their previous public service records and measurable impact.

Political observers note that the release of the documentary marks an early strategic move in what is expected to become a competitive race for the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat, as aspirants continue consultations and grassroots mobilisation ahead of party primaries.
