Following the conclusion of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections, Hon. Femi Saheed has congratulated Mayor Dele Oshinowo on emerging as the party’s candidate for the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Saheed, who currently represents Kosofe Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, described Oshinowo’s victory as a reflection of his longstanding commitment to grassroots politics and public service.

“This victory is a clear reflection of your track record of hard work, impactful service to the people, and your ability to mobilize support at the grassroots for the All Progressives Congress,” Saheed stated.

The lawmaker expressed confidence that Oshinowo possesses the leadership capacity and political experience required to provide effective representation for the constituency at the federal level if elected.

Call for APC Unity

Saheed also appealed to party members, leaders, and supporters across Kosofe to rally behind the APC candidate in the interest of party unity and electoral success ahead of the 2027 polls.

“I therefore urge all constituents to embrace this candidacy with unity and give it the full support required for the continued progress of our party and constituency,” he added.

The congratulatory message, conveyed on behalf of Saheed’s family and constituents in Kosofe Constituency II, is seen as part of ongoing reconciliation and unity efforts within the APC following the party’s competitive primaries.

Political observers have described Oshinowo’s emergence as a significant victory for the grassroots bloc within the Kosofe APC structure, given his extensive political influence and record as Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.
