The list published by the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) on serving members of the House of Representatives who allegedly lost their return tickets under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users questioning its completeness and accuracy.

Several commenters faulted the omission of certain federal constituencies and lawmakers from the compilation, arguing that the report did not fully reflect the scale of outcomes from the APC primary elections nationwide.

In Lagos State, attention was drawn to the Kosofe Federal Constituency, where the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, reportedly lost the party’s ticket to the former Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo. The result was said to have been announced by the Returning Officer, Sesan Dada, after the conclusion of the party’s primary election.

Reacting to the ICIR publication, some users insisted that several defeated lawmakers were missing from the list, suggesting inconsistencies in the reporting.

One user, “yaiko_btw,” wrote: “They are more than this… this list is incomplete.”

Another commenter, “chiteh123,” also questioned the omission of Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency, stating: “This list is not exhaustive, why is Akpatason, Akoko-Edo federal constituency missing from the list? He’s not returning.”

Other users echoed similar constituency-based reactions, pointing to additional lawmakers they believed had also lost their return tickets in the APC primaries but were not captured in the report.

As debates continue across social media platforms, political observers say the controversy highlights both the heightened public interest in internal party elections and the challenges of compiling comprehensive national-level political data ahead of the 2027 general elections.
