Oshinowo Campaign Team Begins Grassroots Engagement, Meets Kosofe CDC Leaders
The campaign team of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kosofe Federal Constituency, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has commenced strategic engagements with community leaders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The campaign team met with executive members of the Kosofe Local Government Community Development Committee (CDC) as part of its early preparations for grassroots mobilisation across the constituency.
The meeting focused on briefing community leaders on the campaign’s proposed engagement strategy and strengthening collaboration with community structures ahead of the commencement of full campaign activities.
During the meeting, the campaign leadership disclosed plans for an extensive grassroots outreach programme that would involve visiting CDC units across Greater Kosofe to engage directly with residents.
The team said the proposed outreach would adopt a community-driven approach, with campaign officials moving from one community to another to listen to residents, understand their concerns and present Oshinowo’s vision for representation at the federal level.
“Our resolve is simple: we will visit every CDC across Greater Kosofe, moving from one community to another, meeting our people where they live, listening to them, engaging them directly, and sharing our vision for stronger and more effective representation,” the campaign leadership said.
The Kosofe CDC leadership reportedly welcomed the initiative and expressed its readiness to receive the campaign team across the various local jurisdictions as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
The engagement was attended by key members of the campaign and political stakeholders, including Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, Director-General of the Mayor Dele Oshinowo Campaign Team; Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Campaign Director for Kosofe Local Government; Dr. Muritala Seriki, APC House of Assembly candidate for Kosofe Constituency II; and Tosin Ashafa, Director of Operations of the City Boy Movement.
The latest engagement represents an early step in the campaign team’s efforts to consolidate its grassroots structure and deepen interaction with community stakeholders across the constituency.
With the 2027 elections approaching, the Oshinowo campaign is expected to intensify consultations and community-level engagements under its campaign slogan, “Stronger Representation, Stronger Kosofe.”
