Politician and community leader, Otunba Alebiosu Sikiru Adekoya, has declared his intention to contest the Epe Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Adekoya made his declaration in an open letter addressed to constituents in Epe and those in the diaspora, describing his decision to contest as a “call to service” aimed at providing the constituency with stronger and more accountable representation at the National Assembly.
He said the decision followed consultations with stakeholders and community members across the constituency.
“This is not merely a political ambition. It is a call to service and an opportunity to give our people a stronger, more effective, and accountable voice at the National Assembly,” Adekoya said.
The APM candidate identified youth empowerment, education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, employment and security as key areas requiring greater attention in Epe.
He pledged to pursue transparent and accessible representation, with the interests of constituents guiding his legislative priorities if elected.
Adekoya also called for the support and partnership of traditional rulers, community leaders, women, youths, business owners and professionals across Epe.
He said his ambition was focused on creating greater opportunities for residents, particularly young people, while ensuring that Epe has a stronger voice at the national level.
“Together, we can build an Epe where our people have greater opportunities, where our youths can look forward to a better future, and where the voice of Epe commands respect and attention at the national level,” he said.
Adekoya pledged to approach the contest and, if elected, his legislative responsibilities with integrity, courage and dedication.
