The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately publish a nationwide timetable for the production, distribution and collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The party warned that administrative delays could disenfranchise eligible voters, particularly in the Northwest, and urged the electoral commission to provide clear information on when and where newly registered voters can collect their cards.
In a press statement issued on Friday, September 11, 2026, the ADC said Nigerians who successfully completed the voter registration exercise should not lose their right to vote because of bureaucratic bottlenecks.
The party argued that timely access to PVCs is essential to ensuring that eligible citizens are able to participate fully in the electoral process.
Speaking on behalf of the party, ADC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, said millions of registered citizens deserved certainty about the status and availability of their voter cards.
He called on INEC to provide clear timelines for the production, distribution and collection process across the country, saying voters should not be left uncertain about when or where they would be able to obtain their PVCs.
The ADC’s call comes amid preparations for upcoming electoral activities, with the party urging INEC to address potential administrative bottlenecks early enough to prevent avoidable disenfranchisement.
