Mayor Dele Oshinowo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kosofe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has expanded his grassroots consultations, engaging professional associations, community groups and residents as part of his campaign ahead of the 2027 general election.

Oshinowo, who previously served as chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) for eight years, has cited his experience in local government administration as a foundation for his ambition to represent the constituency at the National Assembly in Abuja.

As part of the ongoing campaign tour, Oshinowo met with the Progressive Widows Association, known as Igbeyin-Teyinse, where he discussed social welfare initiatives and programmes aimed at supporting vulnerable residents.

He also held discussions with the Kosofe branch of the Hoteliers Association on economic development and potential legislative support for the local hospitality industry. According to the campaign, the association’s leadership pledged support for his candidacy.

The consultations extended to several Community Development Associations (CDAs), with engagements involving residents and community leaders in Miyaki, Urban Renewal, Alo-Ola, Oloruntoyin, Atonda-Alonge and Ore-Ofe communities.

Other areas visited by the campaign team included Akerele, Aralamo, Awolewo Ireku, Idi-Orogbo, Orile-Oworo and Precious Seed CDA.

The campaign said the engagements were designed to give residents opportunities to raise concerns about infrastructure and other community needs while allowing Oshinowo to present his plans for federal representation.

Speaking during the tour, Oshinowo stressed the importance of direct engagement with constituents, arguing that effective leadership requires listening to residents and understanding their priorities.

He also pointed to his record in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA as evidence of his preparedness for the legislative role, while expressing confidence in the APC’s prospects in Kosofe.

Oshinowo maintained that his campaign would continue to focus on service, trust and grassroots engagement, with further consultations planned across wards, estates and communities in the constituency.
