Ganiu Oyebanjo appointment is long overdue. After he was denied ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2008. He moved to Democratic Party Alliance (DPA) to actualize his ambition and emerged as the party flag bearer for councilorship election in 2008.
However, coming out on the platform of DPA posses big threat to the technocrat turned politician Hon. Afolabi Sofola and the former councilor , Mr. Bayo Ogunsanwo first term election as the opposition PDP suffers election boycott syndrome, necessitated APC Chieftain, Otunba Bushira Alebiosu intervention that compelled him to step down ceremoniously in the public in front of his house at Olorunlogbon Street, Anthony Village, Kosofe.
His withdrawal was allegedly done without brown envelope extended to him contrary to the speculation in some quarters. However, an implied agreement that he will be appointed as supervisory councilor or special adviser slot was allegedly given to Otunba Bush unrepentant loyalist Hon. Ibrahim Mustapha, a long time serving elected and appointed political office holders since first term of Administration of Barrister Muyiwa Adedeji till first term of Sofola 2012 to 2015.
Better late than never as Ganiu Oyebanjo smiles again following his appointment by the Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Afolabi Sofola, as Senior Special Assistants (SSA Religion Matters). Also, appointed is Mr Kumuyi Temitope Olubunmi a.k.a Ijakoko of ward E, Mende (SSA Special Duties).
The two appointees are strong supporters of lawmaker representing Kosofe constituency 1, at the State of Assembly, Hon. Sanni Ganiu Babatunde Okanlawon.
The latest appointment by Mr. Sofola, increases the number of political appointees among the SSAs, SAs to seventeen (17) if nobody is dropped among the initial 15 appointees.

KOSALABARO: Why all the protests and counter protests against Ex Gov Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State?
OKEBADAN: Have you been in a coma since the last six months or blind and mute?
KOSALABARO: Easy brother, I’m just asking you for clarification.
Even the Bible said,
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: when you don’t understand something, you have to ask those who do.”
OKEBADAN: OK. repeat your question.
KOSALABARO: What exactly is the uproar about?
OKEBADAN: Unpaid salaries running into several months during his tenure, no feasible development since 2011, arrogance, deteriorating education standard since 2011.
Flaunting of wealth by governor’s family, taken intimate picture with Hollywood star and mega corruption to mention a few.
KOSALABARO: Who told you all these?
OKEBADAN: It’s obvious, coupled with the news from the Nigeria Labour Congress and the masses in Oyo State.
KOSALABARO: What do they know about governance?
When did taking pictures become a cardinal sin?
What is the fuss about buying properties all over the world if you have your money?
What is bad in flaunting wealth if God blesses you?
OKEBADAN: But what they are saying is that millions of Oyo State citizens are living in abject poverty.
They can’t afford three square meals.
KOSALABARO: You’re telling me the Ex Governor is their God who created them?
Please, His Excellency has a lot to worry about than all these nonsense coming from your mouth. The traditional rulers and their children are on his neck. The Pastors and Imams won’t allow him rest. He is dealing with senior citizens in the State and you are talking about insignificant people here!
OKEBADAN: But the people you now call insignificant were the people who voted for him. They stayed under the sun for hours and defended their votes.
They loved him genuinely but it seems the Ex Governor broke their trust.
KOSALABARO: Whatever, I know who sent you. You are working for Rasheed Ladoja.
Your bad belle will do nothing to us.
Tell ex Governor Rasheed Ladoja to state his own achievements when he was in power.
OKEBADAN: I don’t need to ask Rasheed Ladoja. I saw his model schools all over Oyo State.
The teachers’ salaries were paid on time during his tenure. No single protest during his time as governor except Late Adedibu sponsored Road Transport thugs.
Alafin of Oyo, Iku Babayeye, told me in his Palace in 2011 that Rasheed Ladoja did not steal Oyo State money. So, I don’t understand what you’re saying here.
KOSALABARO: How can you understand me?
You were too busy with “he said and they said”.
If you don’t know anything for sure, how do we know for sure that the Labour Union and masses you are talking about understand the plans of His Excellency for Oyo people?
OKEBADAN: We do know the ex Governor’s plans.
Nearly all the good people of Oyo State know what was going on. Our prayer is that God should run his family the way he ran Oyo State. Whatever he wishes for Oyo people should also happen to him.
KOSALABARO: I will say Amen, because I know for sure that ex Governor’s plan was to transform Oyo State to a model State in Nigeria.
His plan was to make all of you proud of your State but as usual, you didn’t appreciate his efforts but I will leave you to God.
The Bible said “Prophets are honored everywhere except in their own hometowns, among their relatives, and in their own households.”
OKEBADAN: If Ajimobi is the prophet they mentioned in the Bible, I will rather follow Satan than honour your own prophet.
Defeated at the Polls
Defeated at the Tribunal
Defeated again at Appeal.
Ex Gov Ibrshim Dankwabo fled the country.
By Wole Arisekola.
I remember when Ex Gov. Ibrahim Dakwambo went all out against my brother, His Excellency, Sen. Danjuma Goje – the same man who singlehandedly made him governor.
He sent a battalion of soldiers to him and his family during the 2015 Election.
Dakwambo rigged the election with Federal power, not only that, he wrote a 16 pages petition to the EFCC against his former boss.
The EFCC came, charged Goje to court without any substantial evidence.
We did not relent but started praying for the will of God to prevail.
Goje and his party, APC stood together with most of the party leaders strategizing on the way forward.
Sen. Goje was the only one among them who retained his seat while the remaining members are always with him thinking of the way out.
Many people do not know that I’m not from Gombe State, as most of his Former commissioners would confide in me what they want Oga to do.
An opportunity came during the 2019 elections when the APC stake holders in Gombe invited me to a meeting to send me to their leader, Sen Goje.
“Tell Oga not to favour any candidate during the primaries, then we will rally round who ever emerged as a candidate.”
Big task, very big task!
Goje’s inlaw was contesting, one of his close aide was contesting and his former Commissioner for finance was also contesting.
The dilemma to relay the message came.
I summoned courage, went straight to his house as I have access to visit him without any appointment due to the instruction given to his guards not to stop me anytime I want to see him since about 13yrs ago.
I went straight to his dining room where I met him with his visitors.
We ate together and after few minutes, we excused the visitors.
I told him my mission and before I could finish. He said,
“Wole, what am I going to gain fostering a candidate on my party members?
I did it once by installing Gov. Ibrahim Dakwambo.
See the price I paid.
Did you see any of my family members in my office at the National Assembly?
I’ve learnt my lesson.
Let us go to field. I have only one vote, I will cast it for the candidate of my choice and leave the field.”
Hmmm: Great words from a great man!
I went back to the stakeholders and candidates to relay the good news.
They were all excited and went to the field.
The winners emerged and they went to the poll together as a team to trounce Dankwambo and his PDP.
The State has returned to his rightful owner and Ex. Governor Ibrahim Dakwambo has since fled the country.

I was driving through Lagos Island yesterday when I received a call from a stranger. After their usual way of telling you what you are supposed to do but failed to do, he started telling me why I should stop writing anything good about Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, claiming and lecturing me that he knows Osho’s mum better than Osho does. He doesn’t know that I was part of the great men who formed the Action Democratic Congress which transformed to Action Congress then Action Congress of Nigeria and later All Progressives Congress. And as a matter of fact, I was the first spokesperson of the AC in the year 2006. The caller is naive and like most of them, they are not good students of history. Some of these people may need to leave their enclaves and join national politics.
Even, as he said, that my relationship with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is not making him and his political leader comfortable with me, I laughed in Ibadan style. Is that not this guy’s headache? I kept pondering.
What is my problem with you not being comfortable with me in a country of over 190 million people? Your opinion is inconsequential and immaterial to me anyway.
Besides, I don’t know why those from the South-East and South-South where Tinubu did not rule as governor are those that abuse him the most whenever his name is mentioned.
Some of them can’t even remember who their governors between 1999-2007 were. But Tinubu’s name always rings a bell in their ears. Their hatred is based on two reasons; firstly, he did not support Jonathan’s reelection in 2015 and secondly, because Tinubu supported Buhari in 2015 and 2019 against their People’s Democratic Party candidates.
Tinubu’s immunity expired in 2007 and PDP left government in 2015. Tinubu was without immunity for good 8 years under PDP and Obasanjo, Yar’Adua and Jonathan had nothing to nail him financially. Even Nuhu Ribadu did not probe him under Obasanjo.
Three Chairmen of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, ( Nuhu Ribadu, Farida Waziri and Ibrahim Lamorde) couldn’t trace anything incriminating against Tinubu between 2007-2015 but you want him probed now. Has he taken any contract from the state or federal government that he has not executed? Has anybody reported him for financial crimes? You always refer to Tinubu’s companies as if he had no means of livelihood before now.
Same Tinubu became an Executive Director/Board Member of Mobil Oil before he joined politics. Obasanjo and Atiku established private universities as sitting President and Vice President. Obasanjo established a presidential library as a sitting president. Atiku sold shares of companies to himself as VP and chairman of privatisation. Peter Obi took state money to support family business as Governor of Anambra yet, he is your hero. When other former governors were busy developing foreign economy, Tinubu was busy establishing his business in Nigeria. Those he employed working in his companies are feeding their families.
He met Lagos IGR at about N600m per month and he left it at N12-14bn per month. When Obasanjo seized Lagos allocation despite the Supreme Court judgement against his decision,Tinubu was paying salary and pensions regularly for three and half years that it lasted. It was Yar’Adua that paid the allocation to the Fashola administration. Tinubu used his initiative to create Lagos State Traffic Management Authority and Obasanjo in his copy cat attitude went ahead to create the Federal Road Maintenance Agency.
Those of you that always criticise Tinubu because of hatred, when will you start criticising Ikpeazu who has not been paying salaries and pensions in Abia? Why did you not say Tinubu was corrupt in 2011 that he supported Goodluck Jonathan? Did He not win Jonathan’s government at the Code of Conduct Tribunal when he was charged? “Tinubu this and Tinubu that” as if he is your Governor or President. If you are abusing Tinubu because he is sponsoring APC, is Atiku not using money to sponsor PDP and his presidential project? Where is he also getting the money from? Where did he get all the dollars he spent during APC’s presidential primary in 2014 and the PDP presidential primary of 2018?
Tinubu is no longer a governor and neither is he the president but he is the cause of your problems.
Where were you critics when Tinubu was busy building his political structure since 2003, after PDP’s massive rigging in the South West?
When his party graciously offered Atiku a platform to use for his presidential project in 2006/2007, where were you? When he was busy building bridges across the Six geo political zones, where were you? In 2015, you all mocked when Ahmed Lawan and Gbajabiamila lost out the leadership of the National Assembly to Saraki and Dogara. He was not disturbed. He moved on till he was successful.
When he brought up Babachir Lawal and Boss Mustapha ( former and current SGF)in ACN, where were you? When he was doing these, Chief Bode George was busy calling Tinubu a local champion (because his party was only in the South West). Now that he is no longer a local champion, you are busy attacking him. Tell us your governor that performed better than Tinubu.
Your Peter Obi couldn’t build APGA in the South-East. Instead, he defected to PDP to kill APGA.
My brothers and sisters from the South East and South South, my candid advice to you all is that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is not your problem, he is not the one collecting your regional allocation, kindly remove your dagger from Tinubu’s neck and thrust it into those of your ‘do nothing’ leaders.
And if I may put my two cents in, your opinion cannot change the will of God over Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s life.
Yesterday, The Lagos East Senatorial District LGs/LCDAs Chairmen met the Lagos East Senator of the Federal Republic, Hon. Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo ( Pepper) at his Abuja Office to discuss the unity, growth and development of the region.
“The need for Synergy cannot be overemphasized and all stakeholders must be thoroughly incorporated to usher in accelerated and sustainable socio-infrastructural development into our dear Lagos East Senatorial District and make it better ” they opined.
The above short press statement sighted by Kosofe Post. However, was silent on the response of the lawmaker to ascertain the aggregate position of the stakeholders from Lagos East.
One of the major problem of Lagos East has rightly presented by the chairmen is infrastructures that are beyond the state government execution and implementation. Example; the over a decade proposed fourth mainland bridge.
Ikorodu highway congestion and annual flood challenges that drew tears and anguish from residents of ikorodu, Kosofe , Ikosi Isheri, Agboyi Ketu , Ikorodu North, Ikorodu West, Somolu and other local council in Lagos East call for concern by FG who denied state special status funds despite providing over 30% of the economic GDP.
Also, the recurrence of accident causing great horror at Otedola bridge under Ikosi Isheri, Kosofe , Lagos East, is an issue of national important that requires urgent attention between the FG and Lagos State Government.

These few highlighted challenges coupled with the undisclosed ones presented by the Local government chairmen are issues bedeviling the people of Lagos East, which the lawmaker, Senator bayo Osinowo is expected to advocate on behalf of his senatorial district to justify the mandate entrusted with him.
Last week Kosofe Post was tagged through the official twitter handle of the senator on its proposed December 2019 certificate course leadership training programme of the lawmaker , Sen. Adebayo Osinowo (SAO) for the residents of the district which indicated the politicians have already hit the ground running and set to give back to the people who entrusted him with their mandates.
According to the one week training flyers sighted by Kosofe Post partly reads “Collect free admission form from (All progressives Congress) LGA party” . However, the opposition party’s members says SAO is a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria not representing APC in lagos east alone but all including non politicians. Consequently, they insisted the registration forms pick up location should have been his constituency office rather than APC party LGAs while SAO supporters maintained nothing wrong with the designated pick up locations which makes the collection easier.
Also, a twitter handle criticised the poorly designed flyers and offered to redesign one free of charge for the senator.
Hassan Ahmed Dear @SenatorOsinowo This is a welcome development sir More power to your elbow sir. As a member of your constituent Sir, i can create a more appealing graphic design for you, all for FREE Regards.
Beyond classroom@Beyondclassroom@SenatorOsinowoThanks for the update and I have always been looking out for your office address sir. Since I have it now, I will come because I am also seeking a partnership with some of your programs.
Prince Oluwaseun Samuel Odupe-Ogunnoiki
Saw this somewhere and I begin to wonder if Sen Bayo Osinowo is only representing APC members alone for them to be the only set of people to benefit from any senatorial project in which the allocation was in the name of all electorate in Lagos East senatorial District, I don’t think this should be only party members affairs, must I be a politician or a member of APC before I can benefit from a project meant for us all as a Nigeria? I know someone will come here to say the project are from his personal fund .
Responding to Oluwaseun comment Degababa said:
Is there anywhere on this layout copy which simply says what you wrote? The last time I checked, it’s was written free may be you need to check the meaning free incase it’s has other meaning apart from the free I know.
Degababa Dega check very well, can you explain what it means by saying “collect the free form from LGA party secretariat”
Lagos East senatorial district has 16 LGA/LCDA, the essence of the office is to create a point of contact for every body as far as the senatorial district is concerned. If it’s was meant for party members, the party chairman will be instructed to send a text to selected members. The senator is for all.
Hero Omodehin Benedict Olumide
Degababa Dega see am angry at you for saying this. Can’t you understand what is meant by lga party? And you are here defending nuisance. Nemesis will catch up with you soon.
When you criticise, you should criticize for the purpose of Better argument, a senator is for the whole senatorial district irrespective of the political boundaries. If you advocate for a neutral point of collection then its understandable, ending your comment with Nemesis catching up is like displaying your ignorance on public enlightenment.
Opomulero Olayiwola Sulyman
Who is this Degababa Dega?
I want to believe English is not that difficult to understand.
There is a huge difference between “collect free form from LG secretariat” and “collect free form from Party secretariat
Next time, let learn to defend foolishness with decency. However, is that even a project that have direct impact on the value of life?
•Says Obesere, Ogunleye, Remi Adikwu to be formally welcomed at grand reception Nov
Chairman, Lagos State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Tunde Balogun, on Friday welcomed into the party fold a chieftain of leading opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Tajudeen Agoro and hundreds of his supporters, declaring that with the defection, PDP was dead and buried in Lagos Mainland.
Agoro, is a former member of Lagos State House of Assembly between 1999 and 2003 and the collation agent for the PDP governorship candidate, Mr Jimi Agbaje in 2015 and 2019 respectively.
Balogun, who expressed joy while welcoming the former lawmaker, who he described as a brother, a friend and a grassroots politician, said his coming apart from being “homecoming” was “a blessing to APC,” pointing out that the party can now go to sleep concerning total control of Lagos Mainland politics and votes.
This was just as the party boss, who spoke at the APC state headquarters on ACME Road in Agidingbi area of the state, disclosed that top politicians including those from PDP, who recently decamped to APC, such as top musician, Abbas Akande Obesere; Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Hon. Moshood Salvador, Chief Remi Adikwu, among others, would be formally welcomed to the party next month at a grand reception.
“With your coming into APC, Lagos Mainland is now secured. So having you around is a blessing to APC,” Balogun said, even as he further described Hon. Agoro as an experienced, and a brilliant as well as a vocal politician, “who has a voice and is not voiceless.”
Speaking further, the APC chairman, Balogun, asserted that the party in the state and Nigeria in general, from the onset, had been a blessing to Lagos and Nigeria, declaring that it was a platform destined to rule Lagos rather than any other.
According to him, this could be seen in the way and manner chieftains of PDP, including former Minister of Works, Senator Ogunlewe, former PDP Chairman in Lagos, Hon. Salvador; Chief Olawale Cole, among others had decamped from their party and moved over to APC.

Kosalabaro: Dear Heart, if you want peace, don’t harbour evil thoughts about your leaders, do not gossip about your politicians, do not backbite, do not hold grudges against people in government, do not quarrel with your governors.”
Okebadan: And don’t live in Nigeria!
Okebadan: Ask women in the house first, then come to a football viewing centre or Temiyemi Beer palour for the guys.
Kosalabaro: Hummm, men love being men, I’m almost sure women also love being women. It is sweet to be a woman. Yes, pregnancy can be mean and menstrual pain beastly, but only women know how to deploy those conditions to an advantage and even milk it. Never mind all their groaning and grumblings. Most of the girls don’t want to be anything else but women because of politicians’ generosity towards them.
Women have all the luck, all the power, because that is the way God wants it to be. They have convinced the politicians and the rest of us that they are the weaker sex and they have made a song of it. It is music in our ears. May we continue to believe and may the girls remain in power.
I know somebody’s ulcer is acting up already but that is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Okebadan: That’s why it is good to be a politician and a Governor to be precise. So that I will have all the time to steal enough money to take care of all these extra bags, organize a wedding party all over the world and refuse to pay workers salaries.
As a business man, you need to think twice and look at your pocket. I think Nigeria needs its own Wikileaks. We need to know what those governors are earning. The way they have been behaving like they have bees in their bonnets is sad. All they really need to do is tell us how much they earn instead of all the ‘turenchi’ and grandstanding about the source of their sudden wealth. When people have the kind of money at the disposal of Nigeria’s governors, their fantasy has no boundaries.
Kosalabaro: Before you go, let us pray for Senator Bukola Saraki and former governors, Dariye of Plateau State, Ajimobi of Oyo State and all the governors that made the headlines of Nigerian newspapers of recent;
that the prayers of masses and their wishes will come to pass over them (bi ase nfe bee na lo maa ri).
May all those who have stolen our money never go unpunished.
May God’s judgment come upon all those who have destroyed the wealth of Nigeria, thereby putting people into problems. May all those mortgaging the future of our youths and children be punished as God’s judgment descends on them.
Okebadan: I dey sleep.
Kosalabaro: When you wake up remember to say amen.
