Prince Sina Bilesanmi, President, Association of Telephone and Cable TV and Internet Subscribers of Nigeria (ATCIS) in an interview with Kosofe Post during the week revealed the achievements recorded in protecting Nigerians from various service providers since it’s establishment since in 2016.

What informed the establishment of ATCIS Nigeria?

To be the main voice for protection of the interests and rights of Telephone, Cable TV and Internet Subscribers, Nigerians and non-Nigerians.

How long have you been in existence?

Since 2014. Until 2016 when CAC Approved it.

What are the major ATCIS achievement (s) within this period?

ATCIS saved minimum of 200 Billion naira monthly for telephone subscribers. Always monitor your data rate and voice call!

What are the challenges confronting this organization from achieving it’s objectives for Nigeria citizens?

Some Govt agency like NCC seen us as enemy. Meanwhile over 150 Million Subscriber’s who are our member are in pains. We thanks President Buhari for quick respond to our letter to susepend Body of Bank CEO on USSD & SLANK IN  DATA.

Are you insinuatingng that the various service providers who are the main focus of ATCIS doesn’t see your organization as whistle blower but but NCC?

They see us but NCC whom job to link Atcis believe that we stand as enemy due to what happened. ATCIS Stop planned tariff increment for Data services in Nigeria, ATCIS Group tells, FG, NCC & Telecom firms, ATCIS saved minimum of N200 Billion naira monthly for telephone subscribers. Always monitor your data rate and voice call!

Apart from Phcn crazy bill, we also have the cable TV service provider too, subscribers paying for what they never used. What is your organization doing to ensure that it’s pay as you go rather than flat subscription rates?

Extortion is when you subscribe N2000 Gotv and the transformer in your area develop fault, but your subscription is running….it can be pay as you use

Extortion is when you make call and at the other end you cannot have smooth conversation but your credit is deducted for their inefficiency. Nigerians it is time we begin to ask questions.

Let’s have a voice, let’s push our grievances legitimately under this umbrella ATCIS Nigeria.
