The stage is set for the final of The Creative Championship Cup as the TCC League winners Remo Stars face Lagos-based side Gbagada FC at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.

Both sides have faced each other twice in the TCC League this season with Remo Stars winning both en route to being crowned champions of the league but the coach of the ‘Blue Eagles’, Gbagada FC, Akinyelu Olajide believes his side are well prepared for the game.

“It’s a game we’re looking forward to. Playing the league winners in the cup finals is interesting for us as a team. We’ve had close to ten days to prepare for this game. We have done the work and we’re ready even though we’ve lost twice to them this season,” the coach said.

Gbagada FC defeated Imperial FC 2-1 on aggregate in the quarter-finals and went past Valiant FC 3-1 in the semi-final to set up a final clash against Remo Stars who defeated Emmydinho FC 6-1 on aggregate in the quarter-final and Dino SC 4-1 in the semi-final.

“We want to win this for our fans definitely. It’s going to be decided in 90mins and we’re well prepared, good to go and it will be a good final as it’s a good and attacking side like Remo Stars that will be playing against us. It will be a day that most fans in Agege won’t forget anytime soon I’m sure,” coach Olajide said.

The final will be played on Sunday, 9th of May 2021 by 4 pm at the Agege Stadium.
