Alhaji ( Engr) Salau Surajudeen Adegboyega, was honoured with the chieftaincy title of Ashiwaju Adeen( Leader of Religion) by Ifesokan Muslim Community, IMC, and the people of the town on Saturday.
Apart from the Chieftaincy and Award the organization also used the moment to raise funds for the proposed Mosque building project.
Apparently, the honour was in appreciation of the Alhaji Salau immense contributions to the propagation of Islam, his achievements among others in the state, and the love that he has spread outside his domain to Nigerians from all walks of life.
Our correspondent reports that the venue of the chieftaincy conferment was a carnival of sorts.
Speaking at the occasion Unilever Group clusters Procurement Operations Leader for West Africa and Ashiwaju Adeen, Alhaji Salau IMC described the occasion as a great honour . He thanked Ifesokan Muslim Community for honouring him.
Earlier, Alhaji Salau and friends donated several hundred of thousands to the proposed Mosque project. He further assured the IMC of more supports towards completion of the project.
Dignitaries who graced the event in solidarity with Alhaji Salau included the Ex- Banker, Alhaji Lekan Lekuti, Heritage Banker, Hakeem Durotoye, Pharm YinKa Lekuti, Carl Alakija, Financial Consultant, S. Durotoye, friends, family, captains of industry, busines owners, religious leaders, amongst other dignitaries
