The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Kosofe State chapter, on Saturday, held a parallel Ward Congress to elect new officers.
The excercise took place across the 10 wards in Federal Constituency on Saturday.
The loyalist of the South-West People’s Democratic Party General Secretary, Hon. Rahman Akanni Owokoniran held ward Congresses at the official venues.
While the loyalists of the outgone PDP Deputy State Vice Chairman, Mr. Welly Hassan held separate primary election.
The outcomes of the Congresses led to emergency Stakeholdersmeeting at Ogudu residence of the party elder, Barrister Onikepo Oshodi to resolve the stalemate as at 5:30Pm.
According to Kosofe Post source disclosed that the earlier meeting held with Governor Seyi Makinde; Welly Hassan demanded for the control of Kosofe Local Government party structure and his return as Deputy State Chairman which other gladiators rejected his request.
