Adegbindin enjoys the support of the former PDP State Woman Leader, Deacon Bisi Odunsi while Olabiran backed by the PDP Kosofe Apex leader, Barrister (Mrs) Onikepo Oshodi, PDP South West zonal Secretary, Honourable Rahman Akanni Owokoniran and other prominent leaders from Kosofe constituency 1, where the two Frontline candidates hailed from.

Recall this medium earlier reported that Stakeholders from Kosofe Constituency 1 has been clamouring for the return of the LGA seat after Kosofe Constituency 2, spent 3 consecutive terms totalling about 12 years without favourable general election results while the party continued to lose its strong hold in Kosofe 1.

However, if the proposed consensus arrangement failed the trio of Kunle Koya, Nasiru Adegbindin and Adeniyi Olabiran may go for a full blown primary election to test their popularity and strength.
