Oko Cole Transformer: Babatunde Counsel awaits instruction to drag Kosofe Reporter, Apena over alleged false publication

Deux lodestars chamber awaits Kosofe Lagos State Government Community Development Committee Chairman, Mr .Segun Babatunde instruction to institute legal action against publisher of Kosofe Reporter, Segun Apena over alleged false publication.

Kosofe Reporter allegedly published a story accusing Babatunde of stealing transformer allocated to Adebare Community Development Association and sold to Oko Cole Community, area of Kosofe Local Government.

The CDC chairman has since denied allegations vehemently.

According to the letter Babatunde Counsel issued to Kosofe Reporters dated 25th October, 2021 titled ” Demand for retraction of malicious and defamatory publication against the person of the community Development Committee ( CDC) Chairman for Kosofe Local Government Mr. Segun Babatunde.”

The letter demanded for retraction to be published in two daily National Newspapers and 10, 000 damages among others.

Over 5 weeks after the ultimatum expired Mr. Babatunde is yet to drag Apena to court as vowed in the letter.

Meanwhile, Kosofe Reporters who claimed they receive the letter on the 8th of December has vowed in a recent press release that they will not oblige the request of Kosofe CDC Chairman, Mr. Segun Babatunde.

When Kosofe Post contacted Deux lodestar Chamber counsel to Babatunde over the status of the case they said it’s up to their client. “We are waiting for his instructions on the next step.”
