The Lawmaker Representing Kosofe Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Femi Saheed has commissioned two free school buses, and gives 561 beneficiaries grants as he renders Account of Stewardship.
Femi who is the House Committee Chairman on Central Business District of the Lagos State House of Assembly provided slides of his various programmes within his 12 months in office, ranging from education provision of 400 school benches and chairs, drilling of 6 boreholes in various wards and repairing some across the constituency.
The Lawmaker partnered with Rotary club of Opic Estate, Isheri to provide surgery to 10 beneficiaries, and provided Makeshift Shelter for Madan Community.
He also provided scholarships to some students in tertiary institutions and payment of school fees to some indigent students, among other educational development programs.

Saheed, Who gave grants to 561 beneficiaries while thanking the people of Kosofe Constituency for giving him their mandate and support, said the grant was not an empowerment but just to say “Thank you.”
In curbing the indiscriminate disposal of PET bottles in Kosofe, the lawmaker complimented the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos State by donating large numbers of waste to wealth Bins.
The Lawmaker who assumed office a year ago thanked All Progressives Congress, National leader, Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu for given him the opportunity to represent the good people of Kosofe Constituency 2 at the State Assembly.
Hon. Femi made the remark to newsmen in Lagos during his one year in office as member representing Kosofe Constituency 2 on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
While speaking on his transition from Assistant State Secretary of the party, he described the party as the bedrock of knowledge, development and growth. He added the party has invested so much in him for more than seven and half years which necessitated his choice of nomination when the constituency seat became vacant.
“The instrument of the party has impacted in me has really given me an in-depth Understanding of how the people feel, people’s needs and how the people should be represented,”He noted.
He said his series of empowerment programmes was to compliment the efforts of the state government at the grassroots level.
“Lagos State is a state of excellence. The Governor is trying, Our leaders are trying and the party is trying at the state and federal level. And the only way, we can compliment this by taken some of the things that we feel will add to existing infrastructures the government is providing so that, we can all sail and arrive at a beautiful destination.”
Femi Saheed many adjudged as quality representatives attributed his good contributions to the floor of the State Assembly to the tutelage he undergoes as former Acting Assistant State Secretary and Ward Youth Leader with experience spanning over 15 years coupled with this professional background as a banker largely contributed to his performance.
In his opening remarks, The Executive Chairman of Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area, Mayor Dele Oshinowo said since the Lawmaker came onboard a year ago he has been representing the Constituency very well.
He enjoined the Constituents to appreciate the lawmaker for given back to the community through the empowerment programmes among others.
While appreciating the sponsored programmes of the lawmaker for the separate school bus for Agboyi Ketu and IKosi LCDAS, cash grants, scholarship awards, Boreholes among others, he enlightened the audience that the lawmaker don’t have a budget like the Executives. He added,” Lawmaker job is to make laws and carryout oversight functions.”
He further appealed to the electorate to exercise patient with the lawmaker, assured of them of more life impacting dividends of democracy from the lawmaker.
On his part, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa described Honourable Femi Saheed as a highly resourceful lawmaker.
Obasa’s while commending the lawmaker for the “Thank You” message to its Constituency said it’s not easy for new lawmaker who barely spent one year in office to achieve so much like Honorable Femi Saheed.
“He’s intelligent and brilliant. It’s not a joke for a new member to rise on the floor of the house to make contribution, not just contribution; positive and intelligent contributions to all issues, Obasa noted.
The highlights of the event was the commissioning of worth of several Millions Free School buses by Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
